Manufacturing rubber products can be quite complex as it entails a couple of steps:
- Compounding (Formulating): Chemicals will be added to the rubber base which results in a rubber compound with reduced viscosity.
- Mixing: Compounding ingredients will be incorporated into the rubber matrix.
- Shaping or Fabrication: This is where extrusion, calendering, and moulding happens.
- Vulcanization (curing): The final shaping of a rubber in which crosslinks are introduced to the matrix for elasticity.
However, we understand that not all industries have the facilities, engineers, and equipment to produce high-quality rubbers.
That’s why Rubber Xperts is here for you.
